About Us

Carroll’s Jewelers is a family-owned and operated, traditional jewelry store. Carroll’s was founded by Carroll Seghers in Cincinnati, Ohio in the 1930s and relocated a decade later to South Florida. We are grateful to be celebrating four generations and over eighty years of service. The highest level of customer service and consumer protection is a cornerstone at Carroll’s. The highest ethical and professional standards have always been required to work for the Carroll’s Jewelers Family.

In the 1930s, Carroll Seghers bought a store in Cincinnati and changed the name to Carroll’s Jewelers. After a few years of operating Stewart’s in Arkansas and Carroll’s in Cincinnati, he relocated to Coral Gables, Florida. In the early fifties, backed by the Jr. Chamber of Commerce and the American Gem Society, Carroll hosted a program on Channel 17, public T.V., called “Facets.” This new notoriety prompted Carroll Seghers to open his Fort Lauderdale location on Las Olas Boulevard in 1961. Having worked their entire lives in the stores, Jeanne Ann (Carroll’s daughter) and Robert Moorman Sr. (her husband) purchased the stores in 1983. A little more than a decade later, their sons purchased the stores from them. Stephen Moorman owned and operated Carroll’s Jewelers at 365 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL until his retirement in 2010.

Currently, Robert Moorman Jr. and his wife Barbara own and operate Carroll’s Jewelers at 915 East Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale. Luke and John Moorman are the fourth generation of the Carroll’s family and are setting the groundwork to purchase the store from their parents. Carroll Seghers would be very proud to know that his store has maintained the highest levels of reliability and professional standards that he instilled from day one. The Carroll’s Jewelers Family is grateful to celebrate four generations and over 80 years of service. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and look forward, not only meeting but exceeding your expectations.
